Throughout the course of his career, Professor Benjamin Davis has worn many hats. From counsel, to institutional professional to law professor his adventures have taken him across several continents featuring stops on Wall Street to the ICC in Paris. Today he wears the hat of story-teller as our guest on this week's episode of Tales of the Tribunal.
He had so many great stories to share that we had to break up conversation into our show's first two-part episode.
Sit back and enjoy my conversation with Professor Ben Davis.

When American lawyers graduate from law school, they attain a Juris Doctor, but none of them usually go by "Doctor" unless they get a PhD in law or some other field. What if that other field was...Medicine? What if the lawyer pursued that path after nearly a decade practicing international arbitration around the world?
That is exactly the story of this week's guest, Shareif Abdelwahab of Baker Hughes. Who is leaving the practice of law to start Medical School this fall.
Tune in, and hear his story!

BACK after 6 months of hiatus!
This season was supposed to start by spending several weeks focused on the Vis Moot, however, given the current global events, we pivoted to more timely topics--
Season 2 instead starts with an interview with Mr. Hafez Virjee of Delos Dispute Resolution. Delos is an arbitral institution dedicated to filling the gaps that may be overlooked in traditional practice and was one of the early adopters of online dispute resolution, in particular, during the Covid-19 Outbreak. Some resources and references are made during the show, so check it out, and we look forward to bringing you a whole new season of Tales every Thursday!

Just before the summer sun sets on the Thames, I found myself traveling to one of London’s many looming skyscrapers to hear the tale of one Saadia Bhatty. A one-time aspiring International Relations professional turned lawyer with the Gide Loyrette Nouel law firm in #London.
Saadia tells a tale about earning her stripes as a lawyer, while simultaneously advocating and championing causes that close to her heart. Greater awareness of the burgeoning talent pool in Pakistan and the need for greater gender #diversity in the world of international #ADR.
